Veggie burgers or vegetable patties come in many forms and I’ve always enjoyed them, on their own or with my favourite toppings. Recently I tried a veggie patty from the Wholly Veggie company to celebrate naturally green food for St Patrick’s Day and I loved it! Excellent flavour & texture. I topped it with tomato, avocado and a homemade Cilantro Lime Aioli (always love a good aioli 😉 and the results were delicious. This creamy combo would work on any burger or patty as the flavour compliments the dish without being overbearing.
- 4 Wholly Veggie Herby Garlic Greens Patties
- 4 hamburger buns of your choice
- 2 large tomatos, sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup vegan or regular mayo
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Fresh pepper to taste
In a medium sized bowl, combine the mayonnaise, garlic, cilantro, lime juice and pepper and stir to combine. Set aside while you assemble the rest of the dish. Heat the veggie patty according to package instructions and place on the bun. Top with a generous portion of the creamy cilantro lime aioli and serve.
