Cherry Cantaloupe Smoothie
Cherries are one of those fruits with such a short growing season I tend to buy them frozen most of year. Their strong flavor lends itself well to this smoothie and the addition of the basil gives it a beautiful freshness. The cantaloupe adds the juicy fruit you need and the banana completes the recipe. As the cherries are frozen you might not need to add extra ice, but it’s totally up to you.
- Ingredients
- 4 cups frozen cherries
- 2 cups cantaloupe, chopped
- 1 banana sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 cup ice
Directions:
Place all the ingredients into a blender and puree until smooth.
