Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Aside from being delicious, pumpkin pie is filled with vitamin A and potassium. The filling is generally very healthy, but it’s the crust that has the saturated fat (as well as any whipped topping which generally accompany this dessert). This smoothie recipe combines all the flavors we love about pumpkin pie and turns them into a healthy and delicious smoothie which is so satisfying you might not even want dessert! Vanilla protein powder gives this smoothie a boost but you can leave it out. If you cannot find pumpkin spice in your local market, you can make your own using the recipe I have listed below.

  • Ingredients
  • Smoothie
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon allspice

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick you can add a little cold water until you reach your desired consistency.
